The Yard

Littleyard Liveries is a self contained, purpose built yard of eight large, airy and well maintained stables in a traditional horseshoe shape with its own feed and tack rooms. There is individual and yard lighting, power supply and running water and access to almost non-stop tea and coffee. Its location, behind the larger Preston Farm Stables makes it ideal for those horses that prefer a smaller, quieter atmosphere with a well established routine. As a small yard, each horse and their owner can be assured of personal and individual attention, tailored to their needs.

The Paddocks

The ample area surrounding Littleyard Liveries and Preston Farm Stables allows for year round turnout in well maintained fields. Mares and geldings are turned out in separate fields and all enjoy mutual grooming and play sessions in good tempered groups. Littleyard Liveries is unable to offer individual turnout and believes that all horses should be allowed to interact freely and as naturally as possible.

Schooling

Littleyard Liveries is fortunate to have the use of two floodlit arenas, shared with Preston Farm. Both lit from a meter taking £1 coins, the schools offer safe and available schooling areas all year round. The rubber school, at 60x20m offers a fabulous surface for serious schooling and is the site of regular clinics, rallies and lessons. The sand school, approximately 30m square is also used for lungeing and free-schooling. There are also a variety of jumps freely available for use.
